This is the place to share ideas for any autumn and winter crafts you decide to do this year!

If you decorate the house, have costumes, or make anything special for any of the fall and winter festivals, please post pictures, anecdotes, instructions, etc here. Please share things in the spirit of sharing ideas, so that other members are welcome to use your ideas if drawn to them.

This can include general fall and winter decorations or costumes, as well as specific ones for Hallowe'en/Samhain, Dia de los Muertos, Bonfire Night, Thanksgiving, Yule, Christmas, Hogmanay/New Year and any other special day you celebrate at this time of the year. Our ladies Down Under, you are welcome to include spring decorations/costumes as well as specific festival ones.

You can post separate threads for them as well if you wish, but try to remember to include photos/pictures and instructions in here as well, as this thread will be stickied for everyone's reference.

There will be opportunity to share fall and winter recipes (or spring if you are Down Under), and have a go at each other's, in a weekly recipe and meal inspiration thread. Ashleigh or I will post the weekly threads as early as we can in the week, and I will add all the links to this post for reference as well.

Please read and ask any questions, and when I know everyone has read I will sticky this.

One craft idea that I am going to do, probably starting next week, is going to be creating my own Fall/Autumn wreath for our front door. I have never made one before but I thought it would be really cool to do one for the season, and continue to do one for every season. Once I have supplies I will post more, but a wreath was the first craft I thought of doing for the Fall!

I would love to see your wreath, Courtney! For the last few years I have thought it would be fab to make my own Yule/Christmas wreath incorporating elements of the two festivals, but I have not the first clue how to make it.

And Jessy, I can't wait to see you all done up as Boy George!!

I know for a fact I won't be able to make my own wreaths Not unless I want it to look like the dog tried to eat it

However I have no problems buying one!

Also, I saw a thing on pinterest with making ghosts by using the kids feet and putting white paint on them and getting them to step on black paper or wood painted black. I like this idea and might try it Once I find it on Pinterest again I'll be sure to post a picture and directions with it

I hope I can make the wreath turn out well haha! I've been using Pinterest as my idea/guide on how to make a decent one. Definitely getting supplies this coming weekend for it, and we shall see how it goes haha!

I MADE SOMETHING!

I'm quite proud of myself, I haven't done anything crafty since Audrey was born, no time. But I made her a stocking for Santa
