Thanks. I just wonder whether people might think the board has to do with spiritualism/occult. We thought a lot before changing from General Spirituality...it was to do with "matching" one of the other boards and Spiritual Living "matched" Pagan Living. But I'm not sure whether it would be better to stand on our own and have something more descriptive and representative, but not General Spirituality, that didn't "go" somehow either.
Yeah I know what you mean. It's very old now, and Teresa no longer really posts on JM, and we don't really get the religious debate here now anyway and if we did I'm sure I could handle it. If others agree I'll ask about getting rid of it, or doing a new one worded by me with input from the long-standing members here.
Lol Jackie, you know me too well, too - you know I'm exactly the same, I get restless, I look for change. I'm looking for what will give this board its mojo back, to be precise. We definitely need a change of energy. Sometimes the name is part of that.
Is it the word Spiritual that you're concerned with, Sharron?
We're ecclectic here... from different paths and faiths... our common ground is just spirituality. Some of us do practice rituals that others would name occult. Some of us don't know exactly where we fit (and are okay with that), some of us worship nature, some are from traditional Christian backgrounds... we're all seekers here.
I don't know Terri. Spirituality just seems to mean something a little different to spiritual. Spiritual path sounds less spiritualIST to me than spiritual in general or spiritual living. I like the word seekers. Spiritual Seekers might be nice and again to me would sound more like people on a spiritual or eclectic path rather than spiritualists.
Spiritual Melting Pot would be a good subforum name Mindy!
