We don't plan to start the paperwork until probably next spring... assuming we come up with the money and I can get dh 100% on board (you know men ). I'm torn between Dillon and Holt. I like Dillon better, but Holt is $4000 cheaper (give-or-take). There are so many fees that have a rediculous range like $50-$1500, ya' know? So in my head, I'm adding $1500 to the equation, but in my heart, I'm hoping it's more like $50. Who knows which would be cheaper in the long run? When you're talking about $25-29k, $4k doesn't make *that* big a difference.

I would add an extra 5K to any price that you the agency gives you. Filling out the I-600A form with the government is $900. Plus, everytime you need fingerprints, it is about $250. I believe you need three sets of prints. There are so many additional costs that are not included, it will drive you nuts!

I agree, I know we spent more than anything said we would. All those extra little things really add up!

Ooooooh! Maybe that's why Dillon is more?? Those things are listed specifically. I assumed they were just bundled with other fees for Holt. I guess they're probably about the same then.

Yes, I'm afraid they are right - We spent a good bit more than first quoted But it's sooooo worth it!
