Anyone know of any good books to read on adoption, it always helps me to do as much research as possible when doing something like this, I would love to find some good books on the subject.

I loved Adopting the Hurt Child and The Complete Adoption Book (this one is super thick and I only read portions of it that applied to me). All the Dave Pelzer books were amazing too, but very very hard to read. They gave me a good insight on the thoughts of a very abused child.

I liked Adopting after infertility, by Patricia Irwin Johnston. It's full of little, true sagas of dozens of adoption journeys. Easy to read. Easy to relate to, whether facing infertility or not.

The Pelzer books are a good suggestion, too, although she's right. They're incredibly painful to read. Still, it's like visiting the Holocaust museum. You SHOULD go, even if it's hard, because you'll learn things you can't learn any other way.

Good Luck, hon! If you find anything great on your own search, please share it!

Those sound great! I also recommend that material from the Dave Thomas foundation found above in the sticky - it's not a book, but I've been reading on it for several weeks now and I tell ya, it is such wonderful, helpful information!
