i was reading a list of things they look at and ask for a homestudy and was wondering if you have to have a separate room for each kid or if you can have him/her share rooms.

any advice for going through a homestudy?

It completely depends on your state and agency. Some allow sharing rooms, some do not. Some have certain requirements for the size of the room. Some have requirements for ages of children who can share a room.

In Alabama it is legal for children to share rooms. There are requirements on ages though. And they must be same sex unless the child is 3 or under.

They'll interview you and anyone else in the house individually. They'll ask a LOT of personal questions. So those things will come up. But I don't think they'll "go against you." I always say that they are looking to "rule you IN" not out. They want you to pass.

I think it really varies just depending on what state and what agency you are using. If you've decided on that, I'd just email or call them directly and ask. Sorry I can't be more help on that one!!
