We just got home from a meeting with our social worker and Shantel and her social worker. We have been waiting what seems like FOREVER for them to figure out the tribal things....
WE GOT APPROVAL!!!!!
It was the only thing really hanging over our heads and I know it's been stressing Shantel out a lot. She had told me several times she hopes that they would choose to not intervene so that we wouldn't end up having to go to court and spending A LOT more money to do so. BUT, we got to call there today and the enrollment lady said she is 99.95% sure that the tribe is going to not intervene and let Shantel make whatever placement she chooses... which is of course US!!!
I'm so flipping excited and just so incredibly happy to have that part out of the way. Now, I feel a lot more confident going into this *knowing* that we will have a baby girl in our home to hold and love by the holidays...
Thank you ladies for all your love and support throughout this entire process. Your prayers are working and now we just need to keep praying that Shantel does follow through with all of this and that this little girl is born happy and healthy!!!
Yet another wonderful siggy by HeatherW.... thank you so much!!!
Thank you to the wonderful ladies who mad the blinkies!
"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude..... These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."
