My DH, Lin was born and raised in Burma and moved here (to Canada) almost 10 yrs ago. I went to Burma in April 2010 and witnessed the conditions over there. We are done having kids but our longing for a daughter and wanting to help people over there has caused us to think of adoption.
We want to adopt a little girl from Burma.
I know that adoptions are not permitted by foreigners right now but things seem to be getting better politically. DH is considered a foreigner because he left the country illegally as his Father was in great danger due to his political stance. We are thinking of waiting a few years and then evaluating the situation again but its already on both of our minds.
I'm Stef btw and we have two sons; Thuya, 31 mos and Kye, 5 mos.
I am so excited to share in this journey with everyone. I love reading your stories!
