I knew this was a possibility but didn't want to share and jinx things but it's actually happening now. We're getting my 6 year old nephew (uncontested)! My nephew is in kinship care right now and we were waiting for TPR (because of being interstate and reunification goal). My brother, however, just called and asked me to take him as soon as we can legally make it work. I'd expected my brother to fight, that's why I was just waiting for TPR.

I have a ped. therapist recommendation (just in case). I've already worked out a morning sitter (cousin's kid would share a bus stop anyway). I have a dresser, need a bed, clothes, toys, what else?

After more calls today, DCS will not be involved at all in the process. KY is a backwards state, if you ask me! Waiting on a call from a lawyer in KY. Hoping he calls tomorrow since I work Thursday and Friday.
