Hi ladies,

I have a question if you guys could help. My mom wanted to give up my baby bro (3) up for adoption. My whole family was like your crazy and my grandma that raised me was like, i'll take care of him but your not giving him up for adoption. So my mom tells the adoption agency never mind. Well to make a really long story short, she dumped him on me yesterday with no change of clothes and just said, "i'll have my lawyer get in touch with you about the adoption. your grandma doesn't want him anymore". Then she left (i really hate that women!!). So i have no idea whats going on. Doesn't anyboy know how to get and inter-family adoption going?

Any help is welcomed!!

Thanks,
Mandy

Goodness Mandy, I don't really have a clue where you would begin. I guess contacting an attorney who specializes in adoption would be your best first step. Poor little guy, I hope you can work everything out. Please keep us posted!

Oh, goodness!

My heart is going out to you and your brother. How difficult that must be! I have no real answers either. Marla is right that you should find an attorney that specializes in adoption. Are you going to be keeping your brother?

I'm going to try to get custody and adopt him. I've already called a lawyer, he's going to look into it for me. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.

I at least want to get custody right away, so i can put him on our insurance, cause of his speech delays.

Anyway thanks ladies.
