We are considering adoption and I don't know where to start. I have been looking at all websites and it's so overwhelming for me. How do you know who to trust?

Hi and welcome to the group! Are you looking into domestic adoption? If so, I think my first step would be to contact a reputable attorney who specializes in adoption and maybe they can point you in the right direction. Or if there's an agency in your area that offers seminars, that might be a good way to get info as well. I can only imagine how much information (and MISinformation) is on the internet about adoption, and how confusing it could be to try and start there.

I'd say the first part is to decide what type of adoption you are looking for, that will weed out some agencies. I also noticed and am so sorry for your losses. I've also had some miscarriages and the one little bit of advice I'd give is make sure you are emotionaly ready to go through adoption it IS a very diffrent experience BUT it is a life changing and very rewarding process as well. I have two adopted children from Ethiopia and they are the joy of my life. If you have any question please feel free to ask.
