I was just thinking today how grateful I am for all the support we received from our friends and family during our adoptions and was wondering if you all had the same experience, or if you encountered any negativity? I was reading some posts on my agency's bulletin board about couples whose families were not supportive of their decision to adopt and I can't imagine how heartbreaking and discouraging that would be. I mean, honestly, adoption is NOT an easy process to go through and I don't think I could have made it without the support and love we received during the months we were waiting.
How were your experiences with your family and friends during your adoption(s)? Hmmm, come to think of it, I would think you birthmoms would need the same love and support on your end of the process, so feel free to jump in and share as well!
