RQOTD - What's your next home renovation?

Do you have any renovations planned on your home? What are your plans?

We just refinished the basement and next will be doing the kitchen, but that is still a ways off. The basement looks fantastic though!!!

What about you and your next big home project?

That's awesome about your basement. Did you make it a playroom or something else?

We don't have any plans to renovate this house. We would both really like to buy a new house this next year but who knows if it's in the cards. We've been wanting to move now for over 3 years but with the craptastic housing market, I don't know how long we'll be here.

This is actually going to be a hectic few months for us. We've decided to sell our house and move back to our hometown so we are doing a bunch of updating so that we make some money on our house. This weekend we are doing the bathroom, and in the beginning of april we are re-doing our kitchen. Plus we need to paint most of the rooms, re-finish the hardwood floors, put up new trim, install new windows in a few rooms, plus we have a few outside projects to do. Its going to be a lot of work, but will easily put our asking price about $20 000 higher so its worth it.

Yes, we made the basement a half and half deal. Half is a playroom and the other half is an adult area. We got all new furniture, ceramic tile floors, new 60" tv and some fun toys for the boys. I love it!!!

We have been renovating this place since we bought it in the summer of 06 but we really need to buckle down and finish everything this spring because we really want to sell.

We're redoing most of our main floor this spring. Our walls are just panelling/lathe and plaster "insulated" with wood chips, so we're taking all of it down and insulating and putting up drywall; we're also replacing our ancient wood floors with laminate flooring. We wanted to refinish our existing floors, but there are so many cracks between the boards and they're so thin that we didn't think they'd make it. So that's the plan.
