it was HORRIBLE...

wake up and my cable/internet is out. not good

First we get and get ready to leave then 5 minutes before I realize the envelope from the bank with my money in it isn't in my bag I had packed last night... my husband swore he didn't take it from my bag so I have no idea where it has been put...

So I had to find an atm before we left town and take out money... which put us 10 minutes behind our schedule....

The drive between here and OK City is through alot of flat lands... so there are cross winds and today there were MAD cross winds blowing 45 MPH and knocking up against the side of the car.... not good... I don't know if it was stress or what but I got a nosebleed while driving which was WEEEE-FUN....

Nathan DVD player on his side of the car decided not to work so I had to pull over and switch it with the other side because god forbid we don;t get our blues clues and mary poppins fix while driving...

get to the appointment... they ask me if I brought a referral with me.. ***! Seriously? We come here every 6-8 weeks and i've never been asked for a referral? They tell me his referral wasn't renewed and if it isn;t there by the end of the week we will be financially responsible for the bill.. okay whatever, I signed a waiver.. what a, I gonna do? let the kid go blind? I dont think so

so we did his appointment... right eye is holding steady at 20/30 and even tested at 20/25 once today!
Left eye tested at 20/60 which means the test from last time (20/40) was either a fluke or he was tired and not testing well today.. so next time we go, he will have to have his eyes dilated and do the whole nine yards of testing...

so we get our appointment booked for the next time ( june 10th) and go out to the car so i can call Randy and give him the number to call our pediatrician while I am driving home and tell them they need to get his referral over there ASAP....

took nate and got his lunch.... then started driving home again...

stupid crosswinds... das

So 15 minutes from being back *in town* here Randy calls me and informs me that our pediatrician says they haven't sent a referral for Nathan's eye exams since Jun 07!
*** number two? Who's been sending the referrals then... because if they hadn't been getting them.. I would be getting a bill?

So now tomm I have to call the Eye Institute and ask them to fax a list of Nathan's appointments for the last year so they can back date the referrals so we don't wind up charged with them....

I am tired, wiped, drained....

OMG. What a crappy trip. I am really sorry that happened. Murphy's law really really sucks sometimes.

I am definately keeping my fingers crossed about nathan's left eye that he was just tired and not testing well. It's really good to hear that the right eye is holding steady. Hopefully the next appt. goes much better than this one went. Good luck with the doc's office and KUP on how the whole referral thing goes.

I know man, it was a mess...
I just got off the phone with Dean McGee and they are printing and faxing a list of all his appointments sine June 07 to our pediatric clinic.... then called the pediatric clinic and let them know... so someone should call me by the end of the day hopefully and let me know what's going on! lol

It's just a big mess... and it's kind of funny. He has been seeing the same doctor at the Eye Institute there since BIRTH! And our insurance has never changed ,lol. But all of a sudden it's all messed up!
