Yes, let us know how it went. I hope she did well, and that you are doing well, too. Please give us an update.

She caught D&V the day before from DS and SO so was in on a drip and so couldn't be sedated! Typical! I can't believe it, we've gotta wait again to get another app now.

They numbed her hand with cream before putting the cannula in this time and let me have her on my lap while they did it and she whimpered a bit but didn't even cry! I'm so angry that they haven't done it before, she needent have gotten so upset every time before, she didn't have to be traumatised sbout having her hands and feet touched for weeks after! Poor baby! Still angry about it taking them 6 attempts to get a cannula in when she had those tests done in Dec, horrible having to let people do things, what makes it bearable is thinking that its for the best and that they know what they're doing, then I realise they don't!

If I had one tip for any parent it'd be to really dig your heels in, don't be affraid to ask for someone more experienced, for anesthetic cream, etc.

Oh you poor thing. What a rough weekend it must have been. How is Honey doing now? Is she still in on the drip, or is she home? How is the rest of the family feeling?

GRRRR. Doesn't it figure though. I remember praying that Alexis wouldn't get sick. I had gotten a really bad cold a few days before her first one, so I spent 4 days wearing a surgical mask so I wouldn't breath on her. It is rough though waiting for new appts. Let us know when its rescheduled for.

I hope everyone's feeling better soon.

oh you poor thing, and honey of course. i'm so sorry you will have got yourself all prepared only to have to wait again, i hope she's all better soon. As for the cream, god that must have made you livid, it is so unfair how we are in these people's hands and we are so inexperienced in it all that it's only when they correct their mistakes we know what COULD have been done! i'm so glad it was done differently this time though as if she has got a lot more to come at least you will know what to ask for and it wont have to be so awful for ickle baby! good luck and take care of yourselves
