I was talking to a friend today about how my 4.5 month old doesn't track. It seems like when you are trying to talk to him or calling his name he turns his ear towards you instead of looking at you (If that makes sense). He smiles when he hears my voice but not if I just walk into a room. He loves to look at lights but that is the only thing he seems to actually see. If there is any light or light source in the room that is what he looks towards, not who is talking to him. I might just be overly concerned but here are my questions:
How old was your child when you were told that they had vision problems?
Does this sound like your child at 4.5 months?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My son was diagnosed when he was born. HE was born at 24 weeks and it is standard that they check babies born that early eyes. It was then discovered that he had ROP. Because of his problem, when he looks at things, he turns his head to the side.
