I hope its ok to post here. We just took my 3yr old to the eye doctor, because my daughters(and son's old) early headstart family worker thought she saw a lazy eye in him. Turns out its not a lazy eye but hes very very far sighted, the eye doctor gave me a specific name that started with an O but I forget it now. She said it looks like a lazy eye or eye crossing because when hes looking at something up close hes trying to focus too hard and ends up crossing them.
We ordered his glasses today, they should be in in the next couple weeks. The eye doctor is having us come back in in January and is hoping to see some improvement by then if not then she will have him do eye exercises as well. But he is a very very wild/crazy child and I have no clue how to keep these glasses on him all day, any tips?
BTW, I'm Justine married to Ken and we have Seamus (shay-mus) who is our 3yr old and Kieran(keer-an) who is 7mo old and we live up in North Idaho.
hi and welcome! I don't post here either as there seems to be very little to no activity but wanted to give you a big cyber hug., My 4 month old is now in contacts! yep contacts! Its gonnabe fun putting those in every day. lol
Maybe make a reward chart for him, every day he keeps his glasses on he gets a sticker, if he gets so many then he gets to go to the store and pick out a special gift. Maybe find a teddy bear with glasses or something. Sorry not a lot of help
My dd got glasses at 4 and she was surprisingly good with them. They do make glasses where the ear piece curls around the ear. There is a little boy in my dd's class with glasses who had a strap on the back to keep them on as well. Good luck with it! I hope you don't have too many problems!
