Hi I am Renee, I don't know why I haven't come in here yet. My Son, Daniel is blind. He has Micropthalmia and Optic Nerve Colobomas. In his left eye his retina has completely detached and it could happen at any time in his right eye.
He can see out of his right eye, although we are not sure how much. He attends a school here for blind children and we are very blessed to have him there.
I would love to get to know you all.

Nice to meet you.

My daughter has OCA2 ALbinism, which brings us to this board.

Do they know what caused your sons VI?

No they don't know. He was born with it and there seems to be no reason for it. He is just precious though, and so much fun.

Welcome to the board!! I am really sorry for being so late to respond. I wish Jessica was around. Her son has Micropthalmia and coloboma. She hasn't been around in a long time though. I think maybe her internet is out.

I hope you will stop in more often!
