For those of you with kids in school, how is the year going so far? Are they enjoying it or are they ho hum about it.

Alexis seems to be really enjoying school so far. She is doing better than we thought. We had to change programs because her last placement was only a preschool and at age 5 the kids age out no matter their developmental level. So we started the new school and had a few meltdowns since school started (Alexis is very routine oriented) but she's adjusting well.

Nathan was very excited about school. But he went for 3 days the first week and got sick, missed the next week. Went back last week and made it through all 5 days (whoo-hoo) and now he is out sick again this week! The first time he caught a runny nose and wound up with hyper inflated lungs, and this time he has another runny nose that turned into a cough and we went back in for x rays today and they saw *infiltration* on his left lung, but can't be sure whether it is fluid or virile. So we have 10 days of anti biotics to do and he will be out this week as well! lol. So it seems we go a week and stay home a week so far! I'm hoping his immune system will catch up to these germs he is being exposed to soon!

i hope his immune system catches up soon too. He sounds like quite a trooper. Does he get mad if he misses school? Does he have a hard time trying to catch up or do you have work sent home for him? Let us know how he's feeling.
