Well our appointment down in PA went pretty well. We have anew game plan to teach Alexis how to chew. Its going to be really rough, but its the only way. She hasn't learned even after getting up to ground and chopped table food (chewing is usually a passive skill not required to be taught), so we are going to have to teach her. Sounds simple enough right? Nope.

We'll call in January with a progress report, and if we haven't made a lot of progress, than we are going to get the paperwork going on getting her into their intensive 4 week day treatment program for July or August (the only time we'll be able to do it). So keep your fingers crossed and wish us luck.

I hope it works! There are about 4-5 ladies on my preemie group who have kids in feeding therapy also! I hope it works!

I hope so too. I am really not looking forward to spending a month in PA, but no one around here has been able to make any kind of progress with her, so we have to go here. Especially since we were able to make huge amounts of progress in the past. I just don't know how well she's going to do with the chewing. So we are working on preparing for me being gone for the month, just in case, so everything is ready to go if and when we do have to leave.
