Hey, hope it went well.[/b]

hi, sorry been having a few family problems this week so it's been a while....... well the visit went ok zachariah was good as gold which was great as i'd expected him to cry the whole way through making it impossible for them to see his eyes. But, they managed and apparently they have everything that should make them in working order, optic nerves are there and he seems to be responsive to light which is a good thing. At the moment they still think it's dvm but we are going back in 8 weeks to check on progress and with any luck he will be ok then but if not they will do more tests. i have a vista (vision assistant) coming on tuesday who is going to give him the once over too and suggest ways to get him interested. it's nice to know he should end up seeing but it's still the same old waiting game, i felt so frustrated when i left as i wanted more information but what can they give really! anyway trying to feel positive and at least at the moment there looks to be a chance all will be well. fingers crossed.

Hope all is going well with your children both of you.

I am glad overall the appt went well. I know its frustrating not really knowing what is going on, but the good news is that structurally the eyes are normal, so hopefully, its just the dvm. and responding to the light is very good. The vista is going to be a big help. They are very informative and have wonderful ways of stimulating children to use the vision and to help develop it. Let us know how things go on Tues. with the vista.
