How good is your insurance for vision coverage? Most of the kids have to see the opth more than once a year, so are all the appts covered? What about glases, lenses, frames, and the likes?

Our insurance is really good thank god. Randy was active duty when Nate was born and we kept our military insurance when he retired... so they cover his visits to the Opthamologist every 6 weeks still 100% for us. We just don't get re-imbursed travel wise now but that's a small price! lol

So far all appointments have been covered..with the exception of the co-pay. Which is awesome.. But the glasses are not covered, which are expensive considering both kids have them!

Fortunately all of ALexis' visits are covered so that is good. PLus we do get part of the frames and lenses covered, so I really can't complain. We just have to do copays for the visit and pay anything over the normal lenses, and we get varying discounts for frames depending on the price.
