Anna Nicole Smiths daughter had eye surgery the other day to correct strabismus. Read the Story Here

Do you think celebrity parents talking about the problems their kids have is encouraging or discouragin for the rest of us "normal" parents?

Dunno. Its happenin in their lives, same as it is in ours. Fame wouldn't ease the hurt.

I suppose it might be beneficial to bring things to the publics attention, same as ne other condition?

i think so too, it's nice to make people aware of it, and when they are open you get a real sense of how they cope with it and often it's quite surprising how well they do given their hectic lifestyles. So long as it doesn't make the child uncomfortable i suppose!

I feel bad for her! People make fun of her and act like it was because anna nicole was a fruit loop.

I know what you mean, but I agree that its good to get people talking about it and in the news. I was also reading a story about Colin Farrell's son who has a very very rare disorder (not vision though). Its good to get people aware of it and bring it to the publics attention.
