Colleen, it's breaking my heart to see you so despondent right now. I could really slap that doctor - she's certainly done nothing to help you, she's made you lose all hope.
I know that it's hard but PLEASE don't lose hope, especially not this early on. Every cycle, every woman and every pregnancy is different but here are some hard facts: Spotting at about 4 DPO is most likely left-over ovulation spotting. It can take a couple of days for the blood to travel out. I rarely get O spotting but it has happened to me occasionally and usually happens between 2-4/5 DPO. As for the cramping you had last night, there's every chance that could be a good sign. That could be the fertilised egg making its way down to implant. I've heard a lot of women say they have cramping all the way from O to when AF would arrive when they get their BFP, and it happened to me. I thought AF was coming for a whole week! Plus, all it takes sometimes is one time. One single time. I'm lucky if I'm up to BDing once a month, let alone every after day from AF to O! What your doctor told you was totally wrong. We all know she was completely mistaken, with
most of what she told you. Grr, the more I think about it the angrier I become. What a horrible doctor!
I wish that I could do or say more - I just don't want you to lose heart. It's far from over and we're all going to be right here through every step of this wait with you x x
