Hi Everyone! I'm new here and totally terrified! I took a home pregnancy test last night that was positive. My doctor won't see me until Jan. 26 (I should be around 8 weeks by then) and says they don't do any other tests that are more accurate than the home tests. This is killing me having to wait...I guess I just trust the home test. I've been married for a year and a half and a baby was in our plans for a little bit down the road, but I'm so scared and not ready. I feel kind of guilty and hope my husband doesn't blame me for this because I've been pushing the topic more than he's been ready for. I'm not sure how this is all going to work out, or how I'm not going to have anxiety attacks every day! Words of advice/encouragement?

Thanks for listening!

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to JM! Things may be a little bumpy while you and your husband adjust to the change in plans, but a baby is such a blessing. It'll be more than worth it. You should hop on over to the September Due Date Club since your due date will fall in that month. All of us with positives there are roughly 4-6 weeks along.

Oh hon, I know it is scary now, but this is going to turn out to be a beautiful thing. Just give it some time, and definitely check out the Sept Due Date Club. It will probably help you to lose some of that anxiety and start building up excitement to chat with others who are expecting around the same time as you!!! Take care!

Thanks to both of you for responding I'm sure I'll get more and more excited...it's hard right now because I'm so clueless!! It's hard not being able to talk to many people about it right now since it is so early in the pregnancy. I know this is a miracle...people try and try for this to happen, and it happened to me for a reason. I appreciate the support.
