I already know the answer to this, but wanted to ask anyway. I just took a test and it was a BFN. I'm only 5 DPO and it was not FMU. So I'm not surprised it was negative.

Anyone ever got impatient and took a test too early and got a BFN, but then got their BFP days later?

The earliest I have taken a test was at 6dpo and yes that is way too early. You need the egg to implant before hCG gets into your system. I think some gals have gotten bfps as early as 7 or 8 dpo but the earliest I have gotten a bfp was at 10dpo and believe me I tried to get one sooner!

I went for my well visit today and asked, too. She said it is too early to tell and told me to take a home pregnancy test next week. So that's what I'll do! Hopefully I can be patient, LOL!

Sophie, I know what you're going through. I tested at 7dpo (yesterday lol). Of course I got yelled at by so many people telling me I need to have more patience otherwise I'm going to drive myself insane lmao. So, I'm testing on Monday, by then I'll be 11dpo.

With previous pregnancies I tested way to early and got a BFN. So I waited and eventually got my BFP. (hope that theory works for me this time to as I have already tested to early adn got BFN, hoping for my BFP soon too.)

I hate to admit this but I usually take a test at 6 DPO, which I already know is way too early but I just have the urge to POAS! So yes, I have tested early plenty of times and got a BFN, and then a few days later I have had a BFP with my girls

I'm testing Monday or Tuesday, too ladies! I'm going to try to hold out til Tuesday (11dpo), but I may just be drawn to the $ store on my way home from work on Monday. I'm trying not to get too excited, but thinking positive at the same time...and maybe going a little crazy. lol.
