Hello!
I am a mother of 2 boys, naturally conceived, one is 4yrs old and one is about to turn 3. We decided in January of 2010 to start trying for that girl - however, I had the Mirena IUD. I have since heard horror stories about the fertility issues that Mirena can cause. Had I known then what I know now I do not think I would have opted for the IUD.

I have been actively trying with natural medications (vitamins for estrogen etc) for 3 cycles. It doesnt seem that long, but as many of you know to each of us a week feels like an eternity. The worst part about this is that with my older two I felt that I could sneeze and get pregnant (probably why I got the IUD to ensure I wouldnt get pregnant). It took 3 cycles with my oldest and a few weeks with my youngest.

Now I sit and worry.... Did I make a terrible mistake??

As of right now I am due for AF May 3-5th and am still testing negative. Some say Im testing too early. My hooties are KILLING ME, and I feel very bloated and crampy...but as we all know ALL TOO WELL, all these pregnancy symptoms are also a symptom of our period.

pout.

Thanks For Reading

I hope you find this cycle successful! I have no advice in regards to an IUD because I never went that route, but thank you for sharing your experience with it.

I really hope that it works out for you this cycle. My DH and I have been casually trying for a year now...seriously for a couple months...so I can definitely relate to each week feeling like an eternity. I did not have an IUD, but I was on BC for 10 yrs before getting off to TTC and that has been the cause of a lot of my irregularity, etc. Sometimes it takes your body awhile to adjust after any form of BC. So hang in there. Hopefully your body will jump back into the swing of things before you know it.
