Hi everyone, I have no idea if I'm pregnant, but I had a very bizzare (and super light) period last week and the dr at the walk-in said I should get a blood test just to be sure (I had 2 negative home tests). I did that test yesterday morning and waited all day to see if they would call but they didn't. I called when I got home and the receptionist said that yes, they had the results but couldn't give them to me over thee phone because of confidentiality. I can't get there until tomorrow, but now I'm really panicking and want to know. I've beeen having health problems lately and this information would be very critical.
So, my question for those with experience is: will a walk-in clinic doctor call you right away if you have a positive result? Does the fact that they're not telling me over the phone mean it's not 'urgent' in that I'm not pregnant, so it doesn't matter when I get the info? Or do they want to tell me in person because it's positive?? I really don't know what to think, and am just being eaten up with not knowing... does anyone have an experience with blood tests and whether the doctor calls or not? Thanks everyone... health stuff can drive me crazy
