My first prenatal visit will be in 2 days I will be 8 weeks and 3 days (until the doctor tells me different haha)

What can expect from my first visit ? Will they be able to tell the hearbeat even though I am overweight?

It really depends on your doctor.. SOME doctors will do a quick ultrasound in their office (if they have the equipment), some will listen for the heartbeat, and for some it'll just be a case of doing medical history and scheduling blood tests, perhaps scheduling an ultrasound for around the 12 week mark.

I've never had a midwife try to find the h/b that early, simply because it's not ALWAYS possible, depending on how your uterus is positioned, your size etc etc.. that said, I know that women in my DDC posted about hearing the h/b at ob appts at that stage

They'll definitely do bloodwork and take your medical history though
