I'm so upset over the tragedy here in the U.S. from Friday (and I know China had one too) that I'm having a hard time coming up with things to say...so I'm still here reading and I'll post if you do, don't think you're going unseen

I started to cry when I first heard what happened. People in Moscow put flowers in front of the American Embassy. So sad. I can't even imagine

Yeah, one of the little girls Emilie Parker has a facebook site (like a site started since she died) and they asked on it the other day "Where are you from?" I saw Russia among other places in the answers.

We had a lock down drill at school and my students (6th graders) asked what would happen if an intruder came into the classroom. I told them that I would do everything I could to protect them. I hope everyone now understands how much teachers care about their kids. We would do anything for our students.

We had a fire drill the Monday after and they e-mailed out to us and told us, they don't normally tell us ahead of time, because they knew that everybody would be tenser because of it. Thankfully my seniors didn't seem worried or anything.
