Lets start out by saying I did take castor oil. I took it with my last pregnancy and was going to the bathroom for about 5 hours and 6 hours later my water broke. So with this pregnancy I took it again I was desperate I did not want another C-section. But this time the castor oil did'nt make me go to the bathroom. But 4 hours later after taking it contractions started. Here's Ryan's birth story. So I was 4 days past my due date wondering when labor is going to start. They couldn't induce me because of the prior c-section I had with my second child. So I had to go into labor on my own if I didn't they were going to do another section. It started thursday march 12th I was feeling kind of off a little but I didn't think nothing of it. I put Nathan down for his nap and at about 2:00pm I started feeling light contractions didn't think nothing of it I had them before but these didn't stop they were coming every 6 to 2 min apart. This went on for an hour I was afraid to call the doctor thinking they were going to stop so I gave it another hour they're still coming. So I called the doctor who told me to go and get monitored. I called Paul and told him to come home they wanted me to go get checked. I drove myself to the hospital so paul can take care of the kids. Thinking they were going to send me home. This was about 4 pm. when I got there I heard a women screaming in labor about to give birth, It scared me I wanted to turn around and go. I went back they got me hooked up to the monitors and I kept contracting . she checked me and said your 2 centimeters. I was 1 for 4 weeks so thats progress for me. and she said your staying. yeah!!!! contractions were not painful yet they kept asking if i wanted pain meds i said no. the doctor came in and said she was going to break my water i begged her not to because i know the pain will greatly increase but she did. And thats when it started. contractions were very uncomfortable so I got the first dose of nubain through my iv. I think thats how you spell it. that was great. then it wore off i was 6 centimeters. Then i stalled. they gave me potocin to speed things up. I needed an epidural before I got that. She came in and put the epi in. only half my body was numb i could feel contractions on the other side witch gradually went to feeling like I never got the epidural. I start crying and begging her to fix it. she comes in and takes the whole thing out and starts over. it takes her 3 trys. Don't move breath through the contractions she says. yea right. I finally got a little relief for about 15 min. Then I felt ready to push so the epidural was kind of useless. It was time to push. i think everyone heard me in labor and delivery I didn't care. That was the first time I ever felt anything like that with all of my kids. I didn't push long 20 min. What started at 2:00 pm the 12th of march ended at 4:19 am friday the 13th with 14 hours of labor and my new baby boy Ryan. 8lbs 7oz.
oh yes he was there. I was in early labor when it started he had to get the kids taken care of first, I drove myself to the hospital. He came about an hour and half after I got there. We only live a few minutes from the hospital
