Hello. My name is Kim and I have 2 boys. One is 14 and the other is 3. I will tell you I am definitely a proud parent!!!!
I have recently decided to go back to school and am loving it. Which brings me to how you may be able to help me. I am doing a research paper on Home Births vs. Hospital Births. I do not not know about you, but I did not even know that home birth was an option nowadays. I am trying to get information from mothers that have experienced either one of these types of birth. I want to put that personal touch into my paper. Maybe you can let me know your experiences with the birth of your baby and what made you go with the birthing option you choose. I will not use the information in my paper without your permission. I am going to have to check the guidlines for citation of a personal conversation but will try not to use names. The only other person to read my paper will be my teacher and one peer, which is intended to provide me with a peer review.

Since I have begun my research I have found tremendous amounts of information, yet it all seems to be technical and written by doctors and midwives. I will be using this but I thought that if I could put some information from people that have experienced this then my paper would have more depth. I thank each of you in advance and can not wait to hear your stories. Since I have reviewed the information I have gathered I am definitely going to give home birthing my next child some serious consideration!

Thank you again.

Kim

I've had two hospital births...but no home births...I wouldn't be interested because I #1) like pain killer (thought it didn't work to well this 2nd time) and #2) just want the hospital there incase something goes wrong.

I had one hospital birth and want do it again it was horrible. They want to be the one's to tell you how to have your baby! Being a first time mom I believe it was to be at the hospital. It's not they want to do what's fastest and easiest for them! They want to put drugs in you they may or may not work make you drowsy where you don't really remember your birth! I did end of w/a beautiful boy! He is my heart! Just look at his smile and you'll see why!
