Hello everyone! My name is Michelle and DH is Andrew. We are both 27 years old and both have a child from a previous relationship. he has a little girl who is 4 and I have a son who is 7. We are trying for a child together. I am tightening the belt and getting things paid off and saving money. We have been spending more than we can afford on things we don't need. I am now working 2 jobs to bring some extra money into the house. I am going to be making a tight budget tonight and sticking to it now. I am so sick of being in money problems month after month. Can't wait to get to know all of you and learn how to be more frugal!
Welcome to the board. I have made a big dent in my finances by changing my ways. I still splurge in some areas but I make up for it in others. My goal isn't so much to be a complete penny pinching scrooge with my money but more to make smarter more strategic decisions with shopping and to not waste money. I save money on groceries with coupons, sales, and stock piling. Then I also belong to a bunch of different reward sites and earn gift cards that way. Right now I have $75 worth of gift cards to different restaurants that I've earned for free. I could use the cards for other type rewards but this way I can get to eat out now and then and not have to spend any of my own money.
