Typically I buy 6 papers from Dollar Tree(only a buck, where every other place is 1.75 each)
I then remove all of the coupon inserts and put them in a folder labeled with the date of the insert. Once I find a sale, I see which insert I need to go into and cut out my coupons.
For those wondering why I buy so many here is why..
Most times, there are sales for multiple items. For example, an item might be on sale 3/6.00. Buy buying bulk inserts, I can stock up on a particular item for next to nothing when matched up with a sale. I haven't bought pasta in nearly a year since I've gotten it for free. The same goes for deodorant, body wash, shaving cream, razor etc. It def. makes it worthwhile to pay 6.00 for papers and get a ton of things for free or next to nothing :-)
Honestly, I rarely buy the paper. I usually only get it during the P&G Saver weeks. I do most of my couponing online. I know I'm not getting the multiples that many others get, but it works for us and the products we buy.
At one time, I was buying 30 a week and doing heavy trading. Now, I get 2. Sometimes if the coupons are really good, I'll get 4 or 6. Once in a while, I dumpster dive. I have a pretty good coupon connection. She knows what I like, and sends me oodles of the ones I'll use. She's actually pretty awesome.
My papers are 50 cents, btw, so I don't break the bank to even get 6.
Our papers are $2.00 each, so I usually buy 1-2 depending on how good the coupons are. Lately, I haven't been buying any. Instead, I've been trading for multiple coupons or "buying" them online. This allows me to still get multiples of items I want, but I don't have to buy the paper and coupons I don't want.
