Sooo.. I got the cereal cup deal 5 @ .79 each and got a 8.00 in RR. Yesterday I went to walgreens and got 1 purex, 2 deodorant, and a clearasil, used those 8 RR and got 8 back in return. TODAY I went and used THOSE 8 RR on another purex, another 2 deodorant, and 3 paper towels. They did not give me any RR's back. So I asked to speak to a manager. I eventually won the 4RR back from the Deodorant because it didn't say it came from the deodorant.

I understand that the rr policy says that you can not use the RR back on the same deal, so the one labeled purex couldn't be used to pay for the purex and I expect more RR back. BUT if I would have done it as 2 separate transactions, using the 4.00 for the purex AND the paper towel this time, and using the 4.00 RR from the deodorant, THEN using the purex one and the clearasil one on the deodorant then it should have given me all the register rewards back RIGHT? I probably should have worded that to the manager and asked for my other 2.00 lol.

What's the paper towel deal? Is it supposed to give back RR's?

That's kind of beside the point anyway though. As you state in the post, you can't use the Purex RR's and get another to print. The same goes for the Irish Spring deodorant. They don't roll like that. The RR's say which company they're from so you can keep them straight when using them for more deals.

You need to do separate transactions to ensure all your RR's will print. Also, make sure you have fillers so your manuf. Q's & RR's don't outnumber your items. WAG is a pain sometimes.

That's what the paper towel was for, a filler. This was my whole transaction.

3 paper towel, normally 99 c, but 50 c a piece with walgreens coupon, so I could sill use these 3 as manu fillers

1 purex, $4.99, with 1.00 off coupon, so 3.99

2 irish spring deodorant, 2/6, 2 1.00 off coupons, so 2/4

RR's I had:

1 2.00 from purex
1 2.00 from clearasil
1 4.00 from irish spring

SOOO either way if I HAD made it separate transactions I would have paid the same, BUT I think I would have gotten my purex RR back again.

Oh, and I want to add, that I used RR's to pay for most of my original purchase of the deodorant, purex and clearasil. (It was 8.00 from the cereal cups, and I paid like 1.75 out of pocket)

Your first transaction was fine because you used RR's from the cereal transaction to pay for it. But using the Purex and Irish Spring RR's to purchase more of the same prevented the new RR's from printing.

You could've split them up into separate transactions and used the Purex RR on the Irish Spring and vice versa. Then everything would've printed. It sucks when things don't go as planned. And even those of us who have been dealing with WAG for years still make mistakes when it comes to the RR's sometimes.
