Do you get rain checks when a store is out of something?


I have used rain checks in the past, but had never used one at Fry's until today. It went super easy. I was actually surprised. Though I normally like Fry's, I wasn't sure if they would give me trouble. I had planned to get 10 of an item and they had been out, so the manager gave me a rain check a few weeks ago. Now, they have a TON in stock, so I figured getting 10 shouldn't be a problem and they don't usually give me trouble about using coupons.

The deal was:

Smart Balance Cartons $1.99 when you buy 10 participating items.
I also had 10 coupons for $1.50 off each!
This made the cartons only .49 each!

These were all donated to our local food bank that takes cold items!

I don't use rain checks too often. I can't even recall what it was I last used one for...

I get/use them all the time. At first I would forget and just not get the item they were out of, but then realized that the store offers them and I may as well get the savings. I haven't had any issues using them with my coupons so I probably will keep doing it.
