I am getting married soon and that will make us a family of 5 and with any luck a family of 6. With the money that we having coming in we can make it but it will be way to tight. So any ideas that you can give me would be greatly used and appreciated. Also if you tell me to coupon like the extreme couponers. Please explain to me how it is done. Thank you so much.

Hello!
Most important thing to do to start saving money is match up sales and coupons. Newspaper coupons or online sites such as:
coupons.com
smartsource.com
redplum.com
target.com
couponnetwork.com
thekrazycouponlady.com
are all very helpful to print out coupons and some sites (krazycouponlady, afullcup, and hotcouponworld) even do the matching up for you. Which is super helpful!

I agree

I don't really know how to tell someone how to extreme coupon. If you mean extreme coupon like the TLC show, then I honestly don't think that is realistic because of coupon policies now.

However, you can coupon in "extreme" ways depending on the sale you come across and the coupons you have.

What stores do you have near you?

The most important thing is pairing a coupon with a sale or a clearance item - This is usually where you see the best deals!

Good luck!

Walmart price matches! If you find a product cheaper in a store ad you can take that to Walmart and they will price match for you so you don't have to drive all over town to get the cheaper price.

If you check out some of the sites listed above they will show you the deals for the week.
Walmart | The Krazy Coupon Lady
Walmart - Grocery Coupons & Deal Forums - A Full Cup

I don't have any tips for Dollar General but I wil keep my eyes open and pass on what I find.

I used to shop Dollar General because I thought it was cheaper but after watching the numbers I found you actually spend more when you shop there. We have found the best way to save money is buy bulk and only step foot in a store if you have a list and don't go if yoiu don't have atleast 5 things on that list. We found it helped to drive to a bigger town 2 times a month and do our shopping there when you go out of town you have to have a plan and you stick to it. Also its easier to compare prices when you go to a bigger town instead of being stuck with a couple choices. I also do a lot of online shopping I mean a lot. Hope that helps and good luck with the baby making

Well I have started a coupon book. That way I have all my coupons organized. All Hubby has told me was to make sure I don't waste gas. So I will have to stay in Emporia. I have been looking into getting the circulars sent to my house but all I can find is the ones online.

It is important to plan your trips/ errands so that you do not waste gas. I do that even when I don’t leave town. GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada will help you find the cheapest gas close to you.
Also, try signing up for The Best Daily Deals in Westside / SouthBay - LivingSocial they send you great deals for all kinds of things. I found a deal for 58 weeks of the sunday newspaper for only $20. That makes it .34 cents per paper! If you only use 1 coupon per paper it is worth it I have only seen this deal twice now but it is worth it to me.

Buy all clothing and furniture used. Don't buy what you don't need.

I agree about Dollar General. We spend SO much more when shopping at discount stores like that. I plan ALL my trips out, and only buy what is on my list unless I find something that is at a rock bottom price/stock up price.
