Yes, I do.

Tips?? Gosh I don't know....
1) plan around what's on sale and in season
2) check your calendar --- make sure you know what's going on during the week so that you know whether to use a crock-pot or if you'll need to be eating out or eating leftovers. I used to plan menus and then forget I wouldn't be home and have time to fix several dishes a week - what disasters those days were before I finally started getting it together
2.5) keep some simple heat-and-go meals on hand (canned soups, freezer dinners, etc) just in case something unexpected comes up - then you have dinner covered without having to eat out.
3) try to do a lot of chopping and such ahead of time - make freezer meals or dehydrated meals if possible

LOVE the tips!!!

For me, I plan seven meals for the week and then decide that day what we are having. I will usually include a couple very easy meals for our busy nights, and then some that take more time.

I really like buying freezer zip lock bags and freezing individual portions.

I've thrown this idea around for a while now and really like it

I too spend a lot less when I meal plan. This is really why I started. Whenever I don't have a plan for what we are eating, I am so tempted to order in or go somewhere.
