I am pretty proud of me. I spent 24.28, and I saved 27.14. I love that.

I got these BOGO's:

Smart Start & Special K (and had a 1.00 coupon)
Dole spinach & a hearts of romaine (and had a .35 coupon)
Whole wheat pita bread & onion pita bread
Motts applesauce 6 packs
Maxwell house coffee

Sales:

Kraft cheeses were on sale 3/5, so I got four and used three coupons (one was for two), the coupons were .40, .40, and .30).

And I got 2 four pack things of sugar free pudding that were on sale for 1.00 each

And I got a free box of from your oven (it's like shake n bake)

and used the free store coupons: 4 pack angel soft and a box of tissues (I got kleenex b/c they were out of their brand, which was supposed to be free).

YAY. I had gone for the .58/lb. whole chicken, but I had to get a rain check. Good thing, too... my dad just brought over 120 lbs. (yes, you read that correctly--one hundred twenty POUNDS) of chicken wings! It filled our freezer to the brim!!!!! I'm so happy about that. I love the wings--my very favorite part of the chicken. So we'll be eating those for ever.

I want to hear all about what you guys got on special!!

I have decided that this is what I am going to do my first speech on in my public speaking class. I think I should speak what I know, and I know frugal.

(OH... and I can go with my receipt tomorrow or whatever and get my free loaf of bread that I had a coupon for, but they were out, so I am saving an additional 2.49 on the same receipt! woohoo)

My good buy of the week hasn't happened yet. I'll probably go tomorrow to get it. With all my CVS coupons and extra bucks, I can get a jumbo pack of Huggies diapers for free. First, they're on sale for $9 this week. Plus I have an extracare coupon for $2 off. Add on $3 extrabucks coupon. Plus I also have one for $4 off a $20 purchase. So all in all, I'll spend $11 plus tax for items which would cost over $21 full price. Not bad.

They let you combine your CVS coupons?

I'm getting in on that 8.99 sale, but it's for the goodnights for my other daughter. I have a 1.00 coupon, but that's it. But a pack of those for 7.99 is fantabulous.

What size diapers do you use? I think I'm going to end up with a ton of size 4's left over... my baby is such a petite little thing... she's almost a year old and still wearing the size 3's (she's only a little over 17 lbs.)

I may be getting rid of some of the several cases of 4's that I bought...

My deal of the week is the boneless skinless chicken breast that was on sale for 1.77/lb at my local grocery store! I stocked up.

I also got several bottom round roasts for 1.99 a pound. That's the price I wait for before buying roast, and then I slice it into steaks and stew beef (leave a couple as roasts) since it's much leaner than anything I can buy. Plus, it was at my favorite store for meats - these go on sale maybe once a year for that price.

I wish I'd had more money to stock up! LOL Okay, I did stock up, but it's only a couple of months worth. I would have happily bought twice that if I could have.

I've never had a problem combining the CVS coupons. I get a million of the $4 off a purchase of $20 and I know I've also used the extrabucks coupon with those. And since the $2 off is specifically for the Huggies that shouldn't be a problem either. As long as each one is a separate type of discount, they don't stop me.

Alisha is just now almost outgrowing her size 2 diapers. I have two packages left and she's 4 lbs. away from the weight limit. So I only buy 3's now. Do you use Pampers at all for your older daughter? I have a few coupons for the easy ups & feel 'n learn.

She's older... she has to use goodnights, not pull ups. She has enuresis... we have done everything short of killing her, and that's not an option. She'll outgrow it... in the meantime... I hate buying goodnight b/c they cost so much. I saw a package of old lady pants for 10.99 today and they look almost the same as goodnights, but w/o the decorations, and instead of 13 to a package, it's 20...I may get them for her. . . . . .

(but not this week... I can get the goodnights for 7.99)
