I think this is a great idea, but don't know if I want to pay $30 if I can just figure out on my own what to put in it. I can get a binder and make my own tabs.

http://www.amazon.com/Life-doc-Your-Life-B...TF8&s=books

I read about it in People magazine I think. I also need to make one for my parents, because if anything ever happened to their house, they would be in trouble.

It lists these sections-
-Family Basics
-In Sickness & Health
-Insurance
-Dollars & Sense
-Legal Ease
-Emergency Plan
-Caregiver Information
-Home Sweet Home

Do you think it is worth the $30?

Stroll on over to www.flylady.net and look for the "Control Journals" tab on the left hand side. It will walk you through how to make something similar to what I think you're looking for ... and it's FREE. Plus, you can add/subtract what you don't need along the way.

I personally adore mine. If this is what you're looking for, I hope you love yours as well.

(Oh, and there's also one available on the website that you can purchase and just fill out ... I don't remember the cost, but I think it's cheaper than $30)

I made a fly lady journal - what to do everyday- before I had Alex. I thought, I am going to follow this and be awesome! Haha.

The only thing I really follow is cleaning my sink every night. I'll have to check out the site again.

Thanks!

Mine has tons of info in it. I treat it like the owner's manual for our house. Like, if I had to leave, could someone read it and do everything (or mostly everything) I do just by reading it?
