I posted on here the other day a question about whether Walgreens took circular coupons and checkout coupons. Well, I don't know if I got a clueless clerk, but she accepted a circular coupon for formula (Enfamil) and a register coupon for $4.50 off (also a Walgreens coupon). She let me use the circular coupon giving me the 21.49 price to start and the 4.50 off register coupon as well as a formula check for $5. I bought 2 cans of formula for the price of 1!!!! I am not sure if it will work everywhere, but thought others may want to try for other items. They also give diaper coupons at the register. I got the $4.50 off formula coupon when I was buying diapers for the Huggies rebate. I had no idea about the Easysaver book. I always thought Walgreens would charge more money for diapers than Target or Walmart. THANKS ALL for the advice!!!

Welcome to the MCC (multiple coupon club)! Lame, yes--- I just made it up! That was a great savings on formula! And you did it in just the right way. The circular coupon was a store coupon and you can use one per item per purchase. The $4.50 coupon can only be used at Walgreens but it's actually a manufacturer's coupon so you can use one per item per purchase of that one too. Plus the manufacturer's check is put in as a check so you can use it in addition to any coupons you may have. You made your first killing at a store!!

I like to do that at CVS. Sometimes I can get an item on sale with a store coupon, a manufacturer's coupon, & a $4 off any $20 purchase coupon-- plus an extrabucks reward back and even an extrabucks from a previous purchase. You can get things for free all the time.

Keep up the smart shopping!

You did awesome! It's a game we all play, seeing just how much stuff we can get a store to give us for free ... or even better, pay us to take home. Like two weeks ago, Walgreen's paid me $1 to take home a 6 pack of protein supplements because of coupons and multiples and rebates.

Keep it up, you'll get really good at it, and then realize ... it's fun!
