That's the thing about rebates. Sure, once I get the rebate, then I got free toothpaste & Easter candy (for the kid's school), but until then, I'm out of money. I should have another $16 left. BoooHooo. That would have bought a lot of fresh fruit & veggies for the week. Waaaaa...

OH my GOODNESS, yes!!

I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overspent this month... but I have gotten some things that will last for most of the year (toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, diapers, etc).

I am getting all of my receipts ready now to get into the challenge--even though I'm so far over, I'm still posting.

It should help me stay well within my budget for the rest of the year though. That's why I love tax time--stock up on fun sales and save tons and not have to worry about those things for a loooooong time.

I'm not out yet, but I'm watching it very, very, very closely because it could be gone any minute (or at least it feels that way). I hate making a decision between free goodies (and money back later) and things on the grocery list for right now. Boooo.

I need a Walgreens Rebates slush fund.

In a word...YES!!!

Food wise, we are so stocked! Meijer had their own coupons this month for frozen things, so I paired them with sales-our upright freezer is packed!!!

I've also really stocked up on toiletries. We have enough oil/filters for the next few oil changes, and just reloaded on water softener salt. Dog food-we have over 100 pounds of it!! (That should last through the summer!

On top of all that, we bought our son a play set for the backyard, needed landscape timbers/pea gravel for around it and are getting a fence. (Almost $5000 in all!) Good news-we have the money for it...Bad news...we'll be putting less down on the truck. We plan to be here for awhile though and so I know the play set will get a ton of use!

I did pretty good and came out on top, but my DH wants to use the 20 extra bucks to buy some fresh expensive lamb for a BBQ at our house this Thur. There will be ten family members comeing and the lamb is going to cost about €75 (that is about 95 dollars!! ) for everyone!! But we never invite anyone to eat at our house and we are always over my in laws eating so! and no we can't go for a cheaper meat, since my Hubby has a CRAVING for lamp! He must be getting me back for all of my cravings while I was preggo!!
