I just have to share my latest “steal” – at CVS:

4 packs Huggies pull-ups
4 packs flushable wipes
1 bottle Shout stain remover
1 bottle Fantastic
An 8-pack of gum
16 chocolate/PB eggs
1 Umbrella Stroller

How much did I pay?

2 cents

You are awesome! That's some thrifty spending if I've ever seen it.

Grrr....you should have put a CVS warning in the title! We don't have a CVS around here and I my heart just plummets into my stomach when I hear all of the great deals that I'm missing out on.

Did the grocery game help you with this trip?

BTW, CONGRATS, that is AWESOME!

I combined sales with coupons, and also had extra care bucks - resulting in the almost no cost visit (and the stroller was free after getting the diapers).

It's taken me a while to get the hang of it, but now I think I'm to the point where I have enough of a "stash" of extra care bucks to be able to roll them over from week to week and thus pay very, very little when I go there.

I felt SO good when the total was 2 cents. I couldn't stop grinning!

That reminds me of DH: I sent him to get milk a few weeks ago-- armed with our CVS card and $6 in extra bucks. I didn't know the milk was on sale for $2.49 so I figured he'd spend enough not to waste any of the extra bucks. So he came home and told me of his adventure. When the milk came up on sale, he grabbed a candy bar to make up the difference and ended up spending 7 cents for everything. He said he was so proud as he paid the 7 cents and everyone around him ooh'ed and ahh'ed.

OK... if you have more than one certificate printed out, do you use more than one at a time? They don't let us do that here. You can only use ONE. They make you choose. If you have a 2.00 EB and a 5.00 EB, you better pick the one you'd like to use b/c you can't combine.

No way! I can put as many ECBs as I want. What's the difference in using them one time, and having them ring up separate purchases for each ECB. I hate when they make rules like that.

Maybe that's why I'm not terribly impressed with them.

Oh well... I'm pleased with my 11 dollar and something purchase.

I don't normally shop there at all--I let go of a grudge just long enough to get the freebie.

If they won't let you use multiple EB then divide your purchase up and use a cert. per purchase. They can't have a rule about that! Just walk out the door and back in if they really try to be a pain!

Yeah; that's fine for little purchases, but it wouldn't have helped me with the free stroller like it helped other people.

Oh well. Ce la vie.

They are supposed to let you use as many ECBs as you have, so your store isn't doing it right. I'd email CVS for clarification and print out their reply to show the cashier/manager. You deserve to get your cost to nearly nothing when you earn those ECBs!

I'm such a tattletale. I don't know how I can get mad at my kids for this when it is obviously a learned behavior.

I just called 1800shopcvs and asked them about it, and they are calling the store manager now.
