I am looking to do some freezer meals (several) before having this baby. I am looking at making lasagna, poppy seed chicken, bbq ribs, meatballs, bbq pork, meatloaf, and sloppy joes. I might also make french toast, mashed potatoes, broc cheese soup with smoked sausage and veggies, pork chops and veggies, and pizza casserole. I found a website devoted to this type of thing.

If you do this, do you think it's best to stick with one or two meat categories at a time (i.e. ground beef one day)? Any other tips?

I seriously think I'm a little too ADD to do OAMC, but the theory is a good one, and one that I really WISH I could get in to!

I make big meals on the weekends, then fill paper plates with the leftovers, cover them in tin foil and freeze them. It's homemade tv dinners for the week(s) to come. Plus in no one is in the mood for the same thing, there are several to choose from.
Dh eats them more than I do though since I go to school at night. But at least now he doesn't starve to death!

You bet I do this - and my goal is to do it as much as possible in the next month so I, too, can prepare for the upcoming baby.

What I do is plan meals ahead and if it's one I can freeze, I'll make extra for the future.

This week I made: Lasagna, White Chicken Enchiladas, Pancakes, Meatloaf, Meatballs (to go with my frozen sphagetti sauce or as meatball subs).

Over the coming month I'll make stuffed shells, beef & broccoli, teriyaki chicken, BBQ pork, chicken pot pies, macaroni & cheese, sweet & sour pork, and pizza pockets.

I also have a # of soups already frozen in the freezer.
