I went to my regular Walgreens today to fill a prescription for Dane (he ended up having an ear infection, even though he NEVER complained about his ear!) While I was in there, I was going to get more Airwicks, but of course they were out. They probably haven't restocked since DH and I bought the only four they had on Sunday. I did get a rain check though. I also had an awesome cashier who pushed through my coupons when they beeped, or adjusted the prices of stuff! I hope to see her in there again!!!

Walgreens #1
4 Lysol Wipes ($8)
4 Bic Pens ($1.56)
1 Wrigleys ($1.09)
1 Wrigleys ($.09 - the girl adjusted the price of this one when the coupon beeped)
- $1/2 Lysol wipes
- $1/2 Lysol wipes
- $1/2 Bics
- $1/2 Bics (she pushed this one through)
- $1 Wrigleys manu (this was supposed to be a BOGO)
- $1 Wrigleys (this was the Walgreens IVC)
- $.50 WAG Wrigleys
+ TAX ($.61)
OOP: $5.58, Plus I'll be getting back a $3 rebate for the wipes!
I saved $18.86, plus the $3 rebate later. I ended up with $.44 overage on the pens and $1.32 overage on the gum...not sure how/why, but oh well!

They had been out of the Curves and Nature Valley 2-packs at my first Walgreens, too, so I thought I would venture across town to see what the other store had.

Walgreens #2: Part 1
3 Nature Valley 2 packs ($1.98)
3 Curves 2 packs ($1.98)
2 GoodStart RTF ($12.98)
1 Enfamil Concentrate ($3.99)
- $.75/2 Nature Valley granola bars
- $.50 Curves bars
- $.50 Curves bars
- $6.49 Goodstart (BOGO catalina)
- $2 Goodstart check
- $1 Goodstart check
- $5 Enfamil check (I know my can didn't cost this much, but it went through)
OOP: $4.69
I saved $18.25.

This store didn't have the Airwicks on the shelf later, so I was going to ask for another raincheck, but the manager said they had just come in. She brought out one box of each scent, with only four in each box. She asked me which scent I wanted, and I told her two of each (even though I had enough coupons for three of each). She kind of hesitated and said, "Let me see if there is a limit." I told her that the ad didn't mention it, but she still went and looked for herself and then reluctantly gave me four when she saw I was right. So...

Walgreens #2: Part 2
4 Airwicks ($39.96)
- $16 WAG coupons
- $20 manu coupons
+ $2.40 tax
OOP: $6.36
I saved $44.00. I wanted to get more pens to get the overage on them, but they were all out.

So overall today I spent $16.90 and saved $81.11! Plus I'll be getting the $3 rebate! Not too bad!

How the heck does your Walgreen's let you use 8 coupons on 4 items? Mine won't.

As long as I only have 1 manu and 1 WAG for each item, it's fine. I didn't know that they didn't let you do that.

Nope. Not mine. The Walgreen's coupons count as the total coupon count, so if you have 4 items and 4 each manu and WAG coupons, you better grab 4 cheapie items... I freaking hate that. It's why I only have one Air Wic.

I have to do tricky stuff like:

4 packs of pens (use one WAG coupon and 2 manu coupons, freeing up one item)
4 suavitel (using 1 WAG coupon and 4 manu coupons, taking up the above free item)
3 candy bars (using a manu B2G1 coupon, freeing up 2 items)
1 fresh brush (using a free manu coupon, using up one of 2 free items)
then use my RR to make it even.

I had the problem with the Kellogg's deal, and lots of those coupons were the WAG ones. but they still counted. That's why I said the other day that they need to get with it! They allow combining and now have RR's on a regular basis, so they need to fix their registers!

I think I will. That makes me very angry. I have had to give up a coupon before... When some of them are Walgreen's coupons! That's just not fair...

All of mine (I have shopped at 4 different ones) will take both and not have it mess up the coupon count. You should definately call corporate!

All my Walgreens total coupon count and won't let you combine the store and manu without have additional items. I wanted to buy and emergency can for formula for dh (no more he can't watch because he can't nurse for him mwaahhhh) and they wouldn't let me use multiple RR for the can. Duh, I thought these were the same as cash?! Cashier and manager both played dumb. I was tempted to have them refund all six of my PG transactions last month after that. They wouldn't even force it through. The lady behind me in line gave my 2.00 for the RR so I wouldn't take any longer. They she tried to refuse my formula check because I didn't sign it. Stupid cashier.

What did she say about signing the formula check? Obviously she needs serious information when it comes to those checks. As I explained it to a cashier once: " I don't sign it. I am NOT putting it in MY bank account. It is a check from the manufacturer. The store signs it and puts it in THEIR bank account." If I had been irritated enough, I would've punctuated my speech with a loud "DUH!"

The amount of RR's you can use depends upon the cashier and the order in which you redeem the coupons. But also the number of items you have. They go in as manufacturer coupons so you need enough items to equal the amount of RR's you want to use. I don't use filler items so I don't know exactly what they'll let go through before you need them. But you are supposed to be allowed just one manuf. coupon per item so using RR's in addition to other manu. coupons usually causes a problem. You can avoid it by getting filler items like a pack of gum so more than one RR will go through since the computer thinks you aren't trying to double dip on the order. I bought one item before and was allowed to use one regular coupon and one RR on it. But they had to put the RR in first or it wouldn't go through. It's all a very confusing mess most of the time and that's part of the reason why I prefer CVS. They let me do anything I want.

I had a 25.oo can of formula I wanted to use my 16 in RR from the p&g deal 10, 4, 1, 1. So far, I am not returning to walgreens until they figure out the RR thing. If I do I will drive out of my way to the nicer store, instead of the one in walking distance.
