Ok, first stop was the Walgreens on my way to work (different then the GRRR one from yesterday). I got:
2 boxes of Tylenol PM - 2.49 each
Butcher bone for my lab (yes he's spoiled) - 2.00
Total BEFORE Coupons and Tax = $6.98
OOP AFTER Coupons and Tax = $1.40
Second stop was the Walgreens near work during lunch (this IS the GRRR one, decided to give them another chance):
6 packs of Bic (10pack) pens - 0.39 each
1 Aquafresh toothpaste - 1.79
3 Airwick Freshmatic Starter Kits (Lavender) - 9.99 each
Total BEFORE Coupons and Tax = $34.10
OOP AFTER Coupons and Tax = $5.55 (with NO problems from my cashier!)
Last stop was the CVS near work also during lunch break:
One Touch Ultra Mini - 19.99
2 Aquafresh toothpastes - 1.98 (on sale for 0.99 each)
2 packages of Kotex ultra thin compact with wings - 4.49
20 oz Pepsi (I needed Caffeine since I didn't sleep much last night) - 1.39
Total BEFORE Coupons and Tax = $27.85
Total AFTER Coupons and Tax = $2.09 (mostly the pepsi)
AND I got back $10 in ECBs for the one touch!!!! The cashier was like "so you basically got it free and we paid you?" I happily replied that was indeed the case and left the store smiling big!
All in all I paid $9.04 OOP but considering the $10 in ECBS from CVS I really got paid $0.96 to honor the stores with my presence today!
~Beth~ Wife to my Airman Chris, and mommy to: Anthony Nathaniel (8/31/04), Anastasia Fae (8/01/06), Baby C (lost on 10/12/07), David Cillian (7/31/08), Charles George (4/29/10), and Alan Christopher (2/22/12)
Awesome! I did the same thing with the One Touch the other day. The cashier was confused that it was already free (with the coupon) and then when all my EBs printed she had to take a look. She was shocked to see that they paid me 10 bucks to take it. Ha! It just amazes me that cashiers/managers don't even know their own store.
