I got a call from the general manager at my Walgreens today. I had a big problem with using my coupons last week. He told me that they like to take care of there customers and they will sometimes bend the rules. He told me when the coupon says limit one per purchase I have to ring them up on different transactions to be able to use identical coupons, but they will usually bend the rules for me and he will speak to the manager who gave me a hard time about it. Why do they think they are bending rules? I always thought the 1 coupons per purchase was telling customers that they can not use 2 $1 coupons for a $2 item, not that they can not use 2 coupons when they are buying two items. They have me ready to bang my head against a wall!

I just got off the phone with customer service and thenice lady told me that I in fact can not do that. My purchase is my entire order. She don't know about any other stores polices, but this is Walgreens. I think I am just going to give up.

Now, I know Walgreens is run by idiots, but this is going too far! They are completely insane. If they're not careful, they might just alienate all their customers and find themselves with a failing company.

That stinks! I think Walgreens is making stuff up. I mean meijer will double up to two identical coupons so obviously it isn't against manufacturer policy. It sounds like Walgreens is just being cranky. Let's try the one in New Albany (by the Rite Aid) today. That manager seemed a lot nicer or we can go to the one on Charlestown Rd to see if the good cashier is working at the beauty counter.

I think you should "test" the manager at Clarksville and say no I am not the one who called

Maybe everyone could bombard costumer service with coupon questions . It would make me feel better!

We might have to do that! I just called to see if customer service would send me the "written" coupon policy for Walgreens and I got the same lady as you. She was VERY rude. Who do you complain to about the customer service people? She thought I was you. She cut me off with "Didn't I JUST talk to you?" Ummm, no you didn't. Very mean.

You're right. They're wrong. There are certain coupons that say something like, "limit one coupon per customer per purchase." THAT is a coupon that you can only use one at a time. Can we say free scrubbing bubbles? That's a primo example. As far as regular coupons saying that... it IS as you think: you can't get a 5 dollar shampoo and use 5 dollar-off coupons... but you can get TWO 5 dollar shampoos and use TWO one-dollar coupons...

I am still fired up! She was a *****! To top it off, at the end of our call another phone started to ring. She yelled a me to hold on, not please hold, but HOLD ON! She then got back on the phone with me and said "it is not our policy" in a snotty tone and hung up! I'm assuming that it was her cell because surly there is more than one person that works for Walgreens customer service.
