I hate doctors

they have been talking about surgery and new meds for months now, and my hubby just waited with layne for over an hour for the doc to be in the room 2 minutes to tell us to keep doing what we're doing and come back in 2 months. his regular nurse didnt even come in

hubby and I have decided to boycott our docs for a couple months, sometimes its more stressful for layne, and when he's stressed he gets worse

Well the no surgery for now is great news!

I hope that the break from doctors will give all of you a much needed relief.

and he wants some ###### ice cream. I have to try to find some soy ice cream, it makes me sad

oh and another thing while i'm ranting

We have caresource, its a form of medicaid which gives us the "benefit" of transportation to and from appts.

My hubby has been waiting for almost an hour for his ride to pick him up. He has to sit outside so they dont leave without him, and it is officially 101 degrees outside. So my 2 year that has a stomach condition that is only made worse by the heat is sitting out IN THE HEAT for almost an hour waiting to collect on his "benefit" from his insurance company.

I can't imagine what you go through. I will continue to keep Layne in my prayers that he can get some relief to his suffering.

AUGH!!! I'm so sorry you have to jump through these hoops!!

Do they make soy ice cream? Otherwise you could maybe make it yourself? I used to make ice cream with camp kids, but I don't recall what went into it...mabe it would work???

Try this site. I put in my zip code for store locater and it came up with Walmart. And it looks like you can print $1 off coupons from the site.

I didn't read the rest of the posts and I also went off to find the soy ice cream. I found the same site. I was so excited and then I got back here and it was already posted. But at least there IS an ice cream alternative that Layne can have. Poor little guy. What condition does he suffer from that causes him so much pain, if you don't mind me asking?

he has GERD caused by an underdeveloped stomach from birth

well at least thats what they are still saying

MOST kids grow out of GERD by the time they are 1. And his acid errosion levels keep going up after all they do. At this point we just try to keep him comfortable until they decide with the hell they are going to do with him

They do make soy ice cream. My grandmother buys it. I haven't tried it, but I've seen coupons for it on coupons.com... and sometimes in the inserts.

I'm not totally sure where you can buy it, but I think at a regular grocery store.
