I was at Target this morning and they had the boxes of Huggies wipes on clearence fo $7.64 for I think 384 wipes. That makes them less than 2 cents each. And if you have coupons, it would be even better.

Shucks. I used all my coupons (I had 4 .75 coupons and 2 1.00 coupons) for the wipes when they were on sale for 2.00 each. I got a raincheck and had to wait for them, but still... the ones for 1.00 were 1.25 cents, and the ones for 1.25 were 1.56 cents each. I thought that was pretty good, so I grabbed them...plus they all had THREE box tops on them instead of just one! The box top collectors at the kids' school should love me this year. I've saved TONS of box tops all summer, and I'm getting the 100 bonus tops from Publix, and I've got lots of things with the bonuses right now.

Wow, so you got an even better deal with those sales and coupons.

I just sent you a box top thingy from the paper in the coupons yesterday. I didn't know if you did the program or not. Lucky guess.

They are little coupons on certain products that you send to a school and they're worth 10 cents each. They're on cheerios, betty crocker fruit snacks, betty crocker brownie mixes, pillsbury biscuits (and other refridgerator pillsbury stuff), chex cereals, etc... They're awesome. They help the schools raise lots of extra cash if they have a high participation rate. I know I send in at least 30 dollars a year of those things... which isn't tons, but if the school has 700 kids and all of them send in 15 dollars worth, that's and extra 10,500 dollars! They don't participate that much, though. Our school only got 300 and something last year; pathetic considering my two kids brought in 10% of that.

I have been trying to save mine for my best friend. She turns them in at her sons' schools.

I usually don't buy the participating products. But if I do, I'll save the box tops for you.

Ahhh.... you're in luck then. I'm buying GM cereal from Winn Dixie this weekend. They have a deal where you get a free gallon of milk for buying 3 GM cereals. One question since I know you've gotten free things from there in similar situations: Do you get the free item on that visit or does it print out a coupon for it for later?

Funny you mentioned that because I JUST looked at the WD ad and saw that and wondered if you had seen it (you--the milk queen).

I have never done their deal for free milk (only because I already get lots of milk on WIC), but I'm pretty sure it's the same visit.

I am all over free milk, you know that! I'll get Alisha her first gallon of real milk. I'm going to start the transition since she has only two cans of formula left. She's doing great drinking water and formula out of her sippy cup so I need to start weaning her off her bottles as well. Boy, it'll be nice to not have bottles to wash anymore.

On the box tops thing, our coordinator said that the Tyson products have a similar program as do the Best Choice generics. Kim, you might check with your school to see if they collect those as well.

I saw something on the tyson bag I had a while back... I don't buy them often, though. I recently found out that they do the campbell's one, too, and I've been saving the labels for education ever since. That's prego, pepperidge farms, campbell's, etc... those don't pay as much, but every little bit helps.

I wonder what the tyson one offers....

(and what's best choice? where do you get that?)
