So I went to Walmart (ugh) this morning and yes, it is definitely still UGH!!! Anyways...I wanted to see if the Clean Team wipes were a good deal...not so much at that store. They were 2.38 a pack, so still 88 per pack after coupon. Not worth it since I can get Kandoo ones free every once in awhile with the coupon. I returned a pack of Huggies Pullups I bought a few months ago (I bought a bigger size just to get a deal bc they were out of the size I really needed) and then 4 packs of the Feel N Learn (that I also bought to get a deal even though I really wanted the Easy Ups). I blamed it on my husband buying the wrong ones. They returned them with no problem, I got a gift card, but I was getting the right ones right away so I didn't care. The Feel N Learns only returned for 7/pack but due to cashier error when I originally bought them I got them for tax only, so I really didn't care. I ended up returning 144 pull ups and ended up with 194 diapers/pull ups for only 1.15 more than the gift card (of course I used more coupons when I bought the new ones!).

How should I track my savings for the challenge? Just my coupons/sale price on certain packs or include the gift card amount too?

Did you look with the baby stuff they keep with the health & Beauty stuff (they have johnson&johnson, qtips, and small packages of wipes in this aisle). That is where April found the small soft packages of the wipes. In the baby section there was only the hard pack and the large refill. Not sure why they don't keep some of the $1.64 ones in that section too.

I always use my actual OOP. If I'm using a gift card, then that doesn't count because it's not money OOP.

I start each month fresh for the challenge, regardless of whether I get money back on items I've purchases previously. What I do with gift cards is include them in the savings for the trip since I didn't pay it OOP. I have a similar situation because I was able to return some of the maple syrup that I had gotten for that cleanse. I didn't have a receipt so they gave it to me in the form of a gift card. Now since I didn't count the syrup in the challenge because it was such a special circumstance, I'll end up being a bit ahead. I'll use the $10.99 GC on things I DO count in the challenge and it'll show up as savings. It's a little skewed, but it's not like it'll push me into the winning position or anything. That'll never happen.

No...poop! Maybe we'll be out that way again before the coupons expire. I think they are good until 9/15?

Glad you said that because I'm going to go there today [as much as I hate Wal Mart] to get some to use my coupons before they expire. yay. Though I don't look forward to all the people there. ugh.
