I was going to price match the Scott TP at Walmart to get my two free packs (even though I don't need it at all!), but all they carry in the four packs are the 1000 Sheets, and I don't like that kind. So I decided I would venture into RiteAid to get it, even though I HATE that store! I go, and of course they are out of it. I head up to the register to get a rain check and there is a man standing there with a little boy waiting. He has his stuff up on the counter and is turned around looking out into the store and there is no one at the register. After I stand there for a couple of minutes I asked him if they were gone looking for something for him, and he said no. I said, "Oh, so there just hasn't been anyone up here?" And he said NOPE! Great! This is typical of this store. Finally a girl comes out of this door behind the photo desk and she is laughing and you could see another girl in there. The girl comes over to the register and all in one breath says to the man, "How are you doing tonight sorry about that." She checks him out, tells him to have a good night, and then turns around to go back over to the photo desk. I was standing right there! I said, "EXCUSE ME!" She turns around with this look on her face like, "What do you want?" I told her I needed a rain check for the TP and she goes, "Uh, I hope they ordered a lot of this," like she was annoyed or something. I said, "You would think they would have had plenty in stock since it was such a good sale." Again, she is annoyed and said, "Well, we did, but people are coming in and buying like TEN at a time." I thought, MORON, what do expect when it's on sale for $1.99 and you have a blinkie there for $1 off and there are other coupons out there, too!? The raincheck expires in 30 days, so now I just need to remember to go back down there and get it before my raincheck expires. I'll probably call the stupid store before I go back to make sure they have it though since they are notorious for being out of everything and it's not really on the same end of town as all the other stores I shop at.
I hate when stores advertise something but then don't have enough of it! Anyone remember when CVS had the Mentadent on sale for 99 cents after EB (a month ago). Well I had some $2 printable coupons I so wanted to sue to make $$$. well I have stoppped at 4 CVS multiple times and none of them has ever had the item...I'm losing hope about being able to make my $$$!
Sorry you had a bum deal Ashley! I would def call before making the trek there. I did that with CVS before!
Ugh I totally feel you on this one! My Rite Aid is notorious for that crap. I swear when something is on a good sale they only put like one or two on the shelf. Then they don't get the stuff back in stock for a long time. I had rain checks from when they had some stuff on an .88 cents sale. Yeah they never got the stuff in stock until well after 30 days was up.
can't you ask for another raincheck if your raincheck runs out?

Well, I know they didn't have many out to begin with, because there was only enough room on the shelf for one row of them, and the shelf was not very deep so maybe only like 5 or 6 might fit. I guess that's so they are hoping no one will grab all of those and ask if there are more in the back.
And Susan, this actually made me think of you and all the problems you had with the 88c stuff. I remember them never getting the stuff back in stock for you. I will definitely raise some heck if they don't get it back in within 30 days and they don't plan on giving me a new raincheck!
I LOOOOVE my Rite Aid, or maybe it is just my cashier. She is awesome. She will push through coupons, tells me about things I may have missed (but thinks I would be interested in), and lets me (and other people) know if we are buying the wrong thing (when it is obvious we are trying to get a sale or a rebate). Did I mention that she is awesome
Ashley, I'll take you there if you are ever up this way.

Oh oh, I just realized I get the Rite Aid ad on Thursday. It started coming in our free paper. Of course I didn't realize this until today since I never look at that paper, but I was on a cleaning spree and found it.
April, does your RiteAid take printables? Mine doesn't. BOO! The time I tried to use them there, the idiot girl informed me that they don't take copies of coupons and she called the manager on me! Then the manager told me that they don't take internet coupons. Party poopers!!!
I really would love to make it up that way to meet you and Sarah one of these days, esp since I'm so close!!!
I have used internet coupons. They took them. They were lovely about it and they were impressed with my savings (it was the $2 Scott coupons. I don't use that kind but I was getting it for my mom.)
